Message from the Commissioner

What do great players like Donovan McNabb, Emmitt Smith, Randy Moss, and Reggie Wayne all have in common?  The answer is that they all started their careers playing Pop Warner Football.  In fact, the NFL estimates that between 60 and 70% of all its players were first introduced to competitive football by playing Pop Warner. 
The Phillipsburg Area Colts Pop Warner program gives young athletes the opportunity to compete at an elite level of competition, learn from experienced, dedicated, and talented coaches, and become a part of a tradition of excellence that prepares them for future athletic and academic achievement. 

Over the past few seasons, the Phillipsburg Colts Pop Warner program has become the premier program in the area, drawing hundreds of young athletes from the region.  These young men and women enjoy access to excellent facilities and equipment, exciting game day events, and have the opportunity to play against the top competition in the State of New Jersey. 

The Phillipsburg Area Colts Pop Warner program believes that the football and cheer experience should be a fun, memorable event for every program participant.  While we will always challenge ourselves to excel and improve, we ensure that every player has the ability to contribute to the success of the team.  We maintain strict minimum play rules, and consistently monitor each young athletes progress and participation.   

The Colts have some of the most talented, dedicated, and supportive coaches in Pop Warner.  With a combined 100+ years of football experience - some as Phillipsburg Stateliners - our coaching staff has something to offer every athlete at every position. 

Our parents devote their time and energy to making sure that the program is successful, and not just by coaching.  The success of our program is due in large part to the overwhelming support of mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and grandparents that give their time and attention to helping maintain fields, sort equipment, run concession stands, or even just cheer for the team on gameday. 

Signups begin in early April and will run through the Summer.  The 2010 Season promises to be another successful, memorable experience and we hope that you will join us to share in it.
